How Do You Use A Bread Warming Stone?

It Is easy to use a bread warming stone. You can pretty much warm it in all hot surfaces but be careful when handling the hot stone. If you want to use your oven for this purpose then preheat it to 350°F. Take out the warming stone and place it in the oven for 10 to 20 minutes. When it is hot enough, take it out and slip it back in the liner and position at the bottom of the basket.

The bread warmer stone can be heated in microwave too. You can use the microwave for faster warming but don’t forget to wrap the warming stone inside a folded tea towel.; 2-3 minutes on high would be enough.  Don’t forget to use tongs or mitts when handling the hot bread warmer stone or you might hurt yourself.

How Do You Use A Terracotta Bread Warmer?

You should always keep the liner cloth closed in order to maintain the hot temperature inside the basket. First thing you do is to take out your Terracotta stone and warm it in the oven or microwave. Then you put it back in the basket and cover it with the liner. They usually have special pockets for this purpose. Place your bread in the basket and cover it again with the cloth to retain the heat.

In general, the bread stays really warm in a bread warmer basket anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. The duration varies depending on the bread basket model and brand. Some have larger Terracotta stones and some have better insulation.

Since you don’t usually eat hot bread for hours, the average 45 to 60 minutes is a perfect fit for most consumers. Although it says 45 to 60 minutes on most labels; the bread can easily stay warm up to two hours if it came out of the oven.
